Games & Activites

Cribbage

 A card game for two or sometimes three or four players. The object is to make counting combinations for points that are scored on a cribbage board. Come down to the Centre every Monday @ 1:00pm for fun and a challenging game. All skill levels welcome.  

Pickle Ball

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. 


Join this group Mondays, Wednesdays @ 8:30am

Thursdays @ 9:00am for Ladies only Pickleball.

Fun Group Meets Monday nights @ 7:00pm

Duplicate bridge is played in the Center on Mondays at 6:30pm. This is a very relaxed group who play in order to learn from each other and have a good time. Anyone over the age of 19 is welcome to come and try it out with - if you don't have a partner, just come and let us know you're interested. We  are always looking for spares.

Join this bunch of fun loving members every Tuesday evenings from 5pm until 9pm at the Centre.  Bring some nickels or dimes and see them grow if you are LUCKY. Various snack foods are available for sale, hot dogs, chips, chocolate bars and pop.   This is an evening where you can support the center and have fun. We also have a birthday club and Celebrate all the Holidays with special surprises Come out and give it a try you might just enjoy it    All members are welcome – you are invited to drop in as your schedule allows.

  A group of Portuguese gentlemen gather daily (excluding Sundays)  to play sueca (card game), watch their favourite channel on the large screen TV and discuss daily events.  More players - more fun. Coffee is always on.  Cost - Senior Center Membership.

Canasta is a classic card game of the Rummy family, typically played by four players in two partnerships.  The goal is to form 'melds' of seven or more cards of the same rank, called "canastas" .   

Canasta combines strategy, memory and teamwork, making it a popular game for social play.

Mexican Train is a fun dominoes game, played by 2 to 8 players. The goal is to be the first to play all your dominoes and have the lowest total score at the end.  Strategic play involves blocking others and extending your own train.  It's easy to learn, making it a favorite for all ages.

Chess is a strategic two-person board game. Each player controls 16 pieces.  The goal is to 'checkmate' the opponent.  

Chess emphasizes planning, tactics and foresight, and is known for its deep complexity and intellectual challenge.  It has been played for centuries and remains one of the world's most popular and respected games.

Come along on Wednesday afternoon @ 1:00pm.  This challenging game will keep you coming back for more.

Whist is a simple trick taking game, played in pairs. The players sitting across from each other are a team and together they try to get as many tricks as possible. 


Come down to the Centre on a Thursday afternoon @ 1:00pm and meet the lively bunch who show up for this entertaining game.  All skill levels welcome
